💪 Setup & Takedown Help

We handle all the setup and takedown, but since it’s just Beverly and her teenage son, we kindly ask that anyone with a little strength lend a hand.
If no one is available to help, please let us know before your rental so Beverly can plan accordingly.

  • How long does it take to set up the inflatables?

⏱️ Setup Time: Inflatables typically take 15–45 minutes to set up, depending on the size and type you’ve rented.

  • Can I put up an inflatable in my backyard? or can it go up in a park?

📍 Inflatables can be set up almost anywhere, as long as you have permission from the property owner and there’s enough space. (Check the listed dimensions under each inflatable to make sure it fits!)

⚡ Power Considerations:

  • The maximum length for an extension cord is 100 feet.

  • If the power outlet is farther than 100 feet from the blower, a generator will be needed.

  • Parker Parties can provide a generator for just $30 — each 2000W generator can power one blower.

  • Does Parker Parties require a deposit for bookings?

💫Nope! 🎉 We don’t require a deposit.
We just kindly ask that if you need to cancel, please let us know before the morning of your event 😊

  • Does Parker Parties accept credit cards?

Due to the high cost of credit card fees, we’re no longer able to accept credit cards 💳.
We also cannot accept cheques at this time.

📲 E-Transfers:
E-transfers are welcome, but they can sometimes take up to 24 hours to process.
If you’d like to pay by e-transfer, please send it at least 24 hours before your event.
E-transfers sent the morning of the event unfortunately can’t be accepted.

💰 Cash Payments:
Cash is always accepted the day of your event — and yes, we provide receipts! 🧾

  • Do I need to supply power?

⚡ Power Requirements

All of our inflatables plug into a standard 120V household outlet 🔌

🧩 Extension Cords:
Parker Parties provides extension cords at no extra cost, but inflatables must be set up within 100 feet of a power source.

🔋 No Outlet Nearby?
No worries! While Parker Parties doesn’t own generators, we can arrange a rental for just $30 each — complete with premium fuel included ⛽ (each runs approximately 3–4 hours).
Need extra fuel? We also offer a 5L jerry can of premium gas for $10.

  • Weather Policies?

🌤️ At Parker Parties, safety is our top priority! The morning of your event, we’ll determine if inflatables can be safely set up based on temperature, wind speed, and other weather conditions.

💨 Wind Safety:

  • If winds pick up during your party, inflatables may need to be deflated depending on how they’re secured.

  • We have an anemometer (wind/gust reader) available to lend if you’d like to monitor conditions yourself.

  • Ground stakes: The stability of stakes depends on soil type and moisture.

    • If stakes go in too easily, the soil is likely too wet.

    • If they’re very hard to hammer in, the soil might be perfect or too dry — test by pulling one out:

      • Pops out easily ➜ soil is too dry

      • Hard to pull out ➜ perfect moisture 👍

Different soil types (gravel, sand, clay, etc.) also affect how secure the stakes are. Inflatable can not be placed on gravel.

⚙️ Wind Guidelines:

  • Ground stakes: Deflate if gusts exceed 40 km/h (unless there’s wind protection).

  • Sandbags (2 per corner): Deflate if gusts exceed 25 km/h without wind protection.

🌡️ Temperature Guidelines:

  • Inflatables require temperatures above +8°C to safely operate.

  • During heat waves, vinyl surfaces can get hot — even causing mild burns if touched with bare skin. To keep everyone comfortable:

    • Provide shade when possible 🌳

    • Consider upgrading to the 4-in-1 water-friendly slide 💦 for cooling fun!

    • Note: The 3-in-1 is fully enclosed (less air circulation), while the 4-in-1 has an open slide for better airflow.

🏕️ Surface Material Matters

Knowing your setup surface helps us come fully prepared!

🚫 Gravel:
Unfortunately, gravel locations aren’t approved — even with a tarp, the sharp stones can damage the underside of the inflatable.

🪵 Hard Surfaces (pavement, concrete, etc.):
While Parker Parties no longer owns sandbags, we rent them from the same trusted local business that supplies our generators ⚡.

  • You’re welcome to use your own 30 lb sandbags (2 per corner)

  • Or, we can rent them for $3 each 💰

  • If the inflatable can be anchored, that can be used instead of (or along with) sandbags for added security.

🌱 Grass:
For grass setups, we use ground stakes to keep everything safely secured and steady. 🌳
