  • Does Parker Parties do the set up and take down? and is there an extra charge for this?

Parker Parties does all set up and take downs but to keep our prices as low as possible, the rental prices are reflective of the customer supplying help with the set up and again with the take down.  While Beverly's son helps out alot now, there are times when she's flying solo.  Customer also needs to ensure that adult(s) are available at all times to supervise their guests and ensure safety guidelines are followed.

  • How long does it take to set up the inflatables?

Approx. 15 minutes to 45 minutes depending on which inflatable is rented.

  • Can I put up an inflatable in my backyard? or can it go up in a park?

Inflatables can go up pretty much anywhere as long as you have permission from the land/building owner and have sufficient room (dimensions of bouncy's and spare are listed under each inflatable).  Please keep in mind that the max length of an extension cord that can be used is 100'.  If the power outlet is further than 100' from the blower, then a generator will be needed.  Parker Parties is able to supply generators for a fair price ($30 for a 2000W gen that holds one blower)

  • Does Parker Parties require a deposit for bookings?

No we do not. We just ask that if a cancellation needs to occur, please contact us before the morning of the event :)

  • What forms of payment does Parker Parties accept?

We accept cash and business cheques. Due to the cost of credit card fees, we no longer accept credit cards.  We unfortunately are no longer able to accept personal cheques.

  • Do I need to supply power?

All Inflatables plug into a standard 120V outlet. Parker Parties has extensions cords that can be supplied (no cost) but all inflatables must be no more than 100' from the outlet. If outlets aren't readily available, Parker Parties can arrange to have a generator there at an additional cost.  Please arrange prior to if a generator(s) is required.

  • Weather Policies?

The morning of the party we determine if the inflatables can be inflated (depending on temperature, wind, etc). If winds pick up during the party, the max winds (gusts included) before the inflatable needs to be deflated is dependent on how the inflatable is secured.  With ground stakes, the soil conditions play a huge role.  Soil gives the most strength when the moisture content is within 3% of it's optimum moisture content.  How does one tell?  If the ground stakes go in way too easy, changes are the moisture content is too high (wet soil).  If the ground stakes go in very difficult (via mallot), the ground is either perfect or it can be very dry.  To determine if it's too dry, attempt to pull the ground stake out.  If the ground stake pops out, the soils is extremely dry while if it's difficult to pop it out, that tells us the soil's moisture content is perfect.  Remember, we use ground stakes to make these inflatables safe and secure for our kids to use.  The soil's type (gravel vs sand vs clay) along with the moisture content will tell us if the ground stakes are dependable.  When ground stakes are used, wind gusts above 40kms/hr may need the inflatable deflated until the winds die down (if there is no wind protection). If sand bags are used (2 at each corner), wind gusts above 25km/s hr will require deflation if there is no wind protection.  Temperatures also need to be above +10C.  Last but not least - heat waves.  These inflatables are vinyl.  When we are in a heat wave, it's easy to get a vinyl burn when pants or long sleeve shorts are used.  Please consider this and having a place in shade or upgrading to the 4in1 with the water friendly slide (if available).  The 3in1 is 100% enclosed to air circulation isn't great while the 4in1 has a slide on the outside (so has great air circulation).

  • Surface Material Locations (grass, asphalt, concrete. etc)

Surface material is important so that we come prepared.  Gravel locations are not approved though unfortunately (gravel can cause too much damage to the underside even with a tarp).  For hard surface locations, Parker Parties will bring many 20lb sand bags and anchors (for tall structures like the SLIDE and NUCLEAR RUSH OBSTACLE COURSE) if needed.
